I am in Thailand so the driving is on the right side. There is no official dealer anymore here. I understood that in order to get a repair manual I have to order it in the country that I bought it from, from the dealer but here that can not be done. I do not have any information on it. If anyone can help me would be really nice. 1. What motor OIL shall I use? (very hot weather here all around the year) 2. Anyone knows specs for this engine (2.0 benzine) ? 3. I just registered on this web site, in fact, I'm keen on my skoda rapid from 1982, that I bring back to france after spending 2 years in Prague. I registered it in the French system (thanks to VW group who helped me in the procedures....) But soon later I've been called for a job in China.... for 2 years!! Now that I'm back, I'd like to make it back to new, but I need help.... Skoda France doesn't have parts anymore.... the car is running, just needed a new battery!! but I have to change carpets, repair the passenger seat, the electric engine for the heating system.... who could give me some dealers contacts in order to get spare parts?? thanks a lot!!! First, it started misfiring when it was warm, and I checked the plugs and leads. But now it is worse and I suspect the MAP sensor may be faulty. In the case of the DGAV, run it without the autochoke. A couple of pumps on the gas pedal before starting will be enough. All the above carbs have the same stud pattern as the Jikov, you just have to open up the inlet manifold to match.	Reply

If you use oils of these specifications, you will trash your engine in lots of interesting ways. For all unit injector engines, you must use lubricant meeting VW 505.01 for 10k changes or 506.01 for variable changes.	Reply

The control is simple: it cooks you for half an hour, then freezes you. Before I start pulling out random bits of infrastructure, does anyone know a quick cure for this? I suspect the temperature sensor, but I'm not sure where it is or how to remove it. Thanks.	Reply
